This was a revealing discussion. I am unfamiliar with everyone's voice so I lost track easily and had a hard time identifying speakers (it would be great if you could make clearer and repeated intros throughout). But I can say that what I heard was very disappointing.

There was the limp critique of democrats that suggested their failure was due to their inherent inability to organize anything and to their unclear exposition of issues coupled with an absence of convincing numbers in support of their positions. Never mind that Trump disavowed Project 2025 then proceeded once again to say that America is garbage and only he can clean it up. The truth is that Trump was negative and Harris was positive (as well as clear about her positions). The voters liked negative vagueness.

One of the male panelists talked about how disorienting this election was/is and provided an opening to the one discussion I hoped to hear: that we aren't who we think we are. This election represents a clear and present willingness on the part of white, male Americans (and those who want to be accepted as white and male) to cheer or benignly ignore angry, empty, threatening hyperbole in order to hide their real motivation for their vote: misogyny and racism.

Trump served up fear and hatred and the majority of American voters willingly, even happily bought it. America has unequivocally embraced misogyny, racism and fascism - again. Ya, this was one heck of a disorienting election.
