Thanks panel. Comments on the loss of local care centers was poignant. Last week I drive by the closed and soon to be demolished Pocahontas Care Center. As a nurse I refuse to call these centers nursing homes or facilities. Some day Reynolds parents or spouse may be in one. We are all a day away from disease, disability or death. A patient told me that years ago; important words.
Sorry to hear about Pocahontas’ care center. My sister (in her early 50s) received care at Good Samaritan in Newell 20+ years ago. It’s gone now as well. Rural areas will continue to suffer.
